The story

Cannondale Saeco TT 2001 ‘Torsten Nitsche’ 🇩🇪

Torsten rode for Saeco Cannondale in 2001 and competed in TTs in the Vuelta, and Deutschland Tour.
Every now and then we find a really special bike, we consider this one of those bikes, it looks fast standing still!

This bike came to us from Italy as a frame, forks and crank which we set about over the next year and a half to return it to its former glory! Full clean, polish and inspection...

Purchase of Cinelli angel bars and drill to fit (see video). Purchase of Mavic Comet wheels (finding the disk wheel took patience). Saddle, exact bar tape NOS period, campag components, lightweight chain, Vittoria Corsa Tubs.

We did a video of the fitting of the crank, really bizarre fitment but strangely made sense, its on our Instagram page.

This gorgeous bike is for our collection, we ride it, it's surprisingly forgiving and fast.

We recently displayed this bike at Goodwood House!
