Cannondale Caad 7 Back Lightening

Some bikes are more than just a frame and a set of components — they represent an era. The Cannondale CAAD7 Black Lightning is one of those bikes.

Built around Cannondale’s legendary CAAD aluminium platform, the CAAD7 delivers the sharp handling, responsive ride and distinctive character that made Cannondale a household name among performance road cyclists. Its striking Black Lightning finish gives it a stealthy, understated presence, with a timeless aesthetic that still turns heads today.

The CAAD7 represents a golden era of aluminium road bikes, when lightweight frames, race-inspired geometry and direct power transfer were at the heart of performance cycling. It offers a raw, connected riding experience that modern carbon bikes often struggle to replicate — lively under acceleration, precise through corners and full of personality.

At Retro Velo, we appreciate bikes like this for what they are: genuine pieces of cycling history that deserve to be appreciated and preserved. The CAAD7 Black Lightning is a reminder that great design and engineering never really go out of style.

Classic Cannondale. Iconic aluminium. Timeless attitude.
